Primary Productivity of Jatigede Reservoir Based on Light and Dark Bottle Method

This research aims to determine the value of primary productivity by using light-dark bottles at different depths in Jatigede Reservoir, Sumedang, West Java. This research was conducted from October 2020 until March 2021 using survey method research. Determination of the research location was done by using the purposive sampling method. Sampling was carried out at five stations and three depths: surface, 0.5 compensation depth, and compensation depth. The results showed that the primary productivity in Jatigede Reservoir ranged from 300.29-1013.47 mgC/m3/day. The results of supporting water quality parameters are light transparency ranging from 38-150 cm, temperature ranging from 26.6-29.7 oC, pH ranging from 6.69-8.7, carbon dioxide (CO2) ranging from 4.4-22.0 mg/ l, dissolved oxygen (DO) ranged from 3.00–6.6 mg/l, Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) ranged from 1.62-16.22 mg/l, ammonia ranged from 0.0004-0.0055 mg/l, nitrate ranged from 0.017-0.044 mg/l and phosphate ranged from 0.06-0.14 mg/l. Based on the value of primary productivity, the waters of the Jatigede Reservoir are categorized as mesotrophic waters.

Volatile Flavor Compounds Composition of Steamed Marble Goby (Oxyeleotris marmorata)

The identification and composition of volatile flavor compounds was carried out for steamed marble goby (Oxyeleotris marmorata). This study was carried out in Fishery Processing Laboratory at Faculty of Fishery and Marine Science, Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor; Flavor Laboratory, Indonesian Center of Rice Research, Sukamandi, Subang; Inter-University Center Laboratory of Bogor Agricultural Institute. The study were carried out on steamed marble goby (at 100oC, for period of ±30 minutes). The Solid Phase Microextraction (SPME) method was used to extract volatile flavor compound and identified by using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC / MS). Steamed marble goby has 27 compounds. The major volatile compound in steamed marble goby is naphthalene. Proximate analysis shows that steamed marble goby has 79.70% water content, 1.48% ash, 0.36% lipid, and 16.65% protein.

Macrozoobenthos Community Structure in Situ Cileunca, Pangalengan District, Bandung Regency, West Java

This research aims to determine the structure of the macrozoobenthos community which includes variety, diversity, uniformity, coefficient of similarity and the Family Biotic Index (FBI) macrozoobenthos as well as the physical and chemical parameters of the waters and to determine the pollution status of Situ Cileunca waters. The research was conducted in Situ Cileunca, Bandung Regency, West Java from January to February 2021. The research method used a survey method. The method used in data collection is purposive sampling by determining 5 stations and 4 times. Data analysis in this research uses descriptive analysis. The results showed that the lowest average Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD5) value was found at station 4 of 8.90 ±4.92 mg/L and the highest average BOD5 value was found at station 5 of 12.99 ± 6.60 mg/L. There are three species of macrozoobenthos that live in the waters of Situ Cileunca, namely Pomacea canaliculata, Filopaludina javanica and Anodonta woodiana. Macrozoobenthos abundance ranges from 400 - 704 ind/m2. The diversity index of macrozoobenthos is included in the low category, ranging from 0.17 to 0.28. The uniformity value ranged from 0.36 - 0.59 which was classified as moderate in all including except at station 4 which was classified as low. The lowest average similarity coefficient was found between stations 3 and 5 was 0.13 and the highest average similarity coefficient between stations 4 and 5 was 0.30. The index value of the FBI macrozoobenthos ranged from 6.05 to 6.18 with a rather poor category. The pollution status of  Situ Cileunca is moderately polluted because the BOD5 value is categorized as moderately polluted, the diversity (H') is classified as heavily polluted and the FBI value is in the rather poor category.

Analysis of the Development Trends in Indonesia Floating Net Cage Aquaculture

The purpose of this study is to analyze the development trend of floating net cage aquaculture in Indonesia. The study took place at the Directorate General of Aquaculture, Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia from February to June 2021. The literature survey method was employed to obtain data in this study. The data utilized in this study is secondary data received from the Directorate General of Aquaculture, Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia, in the form of statistical data on floating net cage aquaculture from 2004 to 2016. Data was analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis, which included study of developmental indexes. The results showed that the development trend of floating net cage aquaculture in Indonesia as seen from fishery households, cultivators, feed, land area, production, and production value experienced fluctuating changes from 2004 to 2016.

The Exchange Rate Analysis of Fish Cultivators (A Case Study in Bayongbong Garut Indonesia)

The purpose of this study is to analyze 1) the exchange rate of fish cultivators (NTPI) in Garut Regency, and 2) the factors that affect the NTPI in Garut Regency. A case study method including both primary and secondary data was used in the study. Primary data were generated from the interviews with respondents. Secondary data were obtained from the relevant agencies. This study used 45 respondents as research sample based on the purposive sampling. The data analysis used is NTPI and multiple linear regression. The results obtained in this research are the average NTPI in Bayongbong Subdistrict, which is 116%, explaining that fish cultivators' expenditures on household consumption and production cost are lower than their income. So it can be concluded that fish cultivators in Bayongbong Subdistrict are prosperous cultivators. Factors that can affect NTPI are age, education level, work experience, number of family members, income, and expenditure.
