Dr. Mabel Omowumi Ipinmoroti obtained her PhD in Fisheries Management in 2005 from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria where she obtained her B.Sc and M.Sc Fisheries Management in 1991 and 1994 respectively. Dr. Ipinmoroti is a seasoned Teacher and Researcher; she worked with the Nigerian Institute for Oceanography and Marine Research, Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) and now in the services of Osun State University. Dr. Ipinmoroti has over forty publications in fisheries and aquaculture, she is a Member of 10 professional bodies/learned societies 6 of which are in the core areas of fisheries and aquaculture. She has attended many international and national conferences in her professional area. She is currently a Board Member of the International Fisheries Section of American Fisheries Society. A resource person for organic aquaculture/fish farming in the National Association of organic Practitioners (NOAN) and Scripture Union (Nigeria), she edited the Biovision sponsored Organic Agriculture Manual. She is the convener of NiWARD Uniosun, is a reviewer for World Aquaculture Society (WAS), International Society for Organic Agriculture Research (ISOFAR) and many other journals. She is a fellow of the Fisheries Society of Nigeria.
